4th Quarter review on Gender subcommittee under the office of the District Commissioner

Today, January 31, 2025, our foundation participated in the 4th Quarter review meeting of the Subcommittee on Gender, under the Office of the District Commissioner. The meeting focused on reviewing progress and challenges from last year, as well as highlighting activities from the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.Key Areas of Focus1Social and Security Services:

1)Discussions centered around improving access to social services, enhancing security measures, and promoting gender equality.

2.Energy, Water, and Sanitation: The meeting highlighted the importance of ensuring equitable access to essential services like energy, water, and sanitation.

3.Victim Support Unit: The committee emphasized the need for effective support systems for victims of gender-based violence.

4. Community Development: Strategies for promoting community development and engagement were explored.

5. Education and Skills: The importance of education and skills development in empowering individuals and communities was discussed.

The committee remains committed to reducing gender-based violence in homes and families, and will continue to work towards achieving this goal through various economic empowerment and programs.
