On Friday, Day 2 in Mukuni Village, Southern Province, We conducted a transformative Training of Trainers (ToT) session aimed at combating corruption and empowering communities to improve service delivery and accountability.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) led an insightful session on understanding and addressing corruption. Participants explored how corruption undermines development, delays essential services, and benefits only a few at the expense of the community. The ACC plays a vital role in Zambia’s fight against corruption by investigating cases, enforcing anti-corruption laws, preventing corruption through improved systems, and raising public awareness.

How to Report Corruption:
- Call the ACC on 5980 or use the anonymous whistleblower online platform.
- Join public hearings and participate in action planning for your community.
- Monitor and evaluate services through tools like the Community Score Card.
Empowering Communities:
The session introduced practical tools like the Community Score Card (CSC) to assess and provide feedback on services, Action Planning to address local challenges like water access and education, and Public Hearings to enable dialogue between citizens and leaders. These tools empower communities to take ownership of their development, ensure accountability, and create actionable solutions.
This program is supported by GIZ (German International Cooperation) and co-funded by the European Union in Zambia under the Enabling Access to Justice, Civil Society Participation, and Transparency Programme.
Together, let’s create a transparent, accountable, and empowered Zambia.
