HUNGER RESCUE

With the hunger situation that has been declared a state of emergency in Zambia,a woman with a great heart decides to donate to two vulnerable households from Libuyu of Livingstone District.

Major basic food items where bought such as mealie meal,beans,cooking oil and monies for other essentials.

Many thanks to our Board Member and partner Linda Mtonga all the way from USA for this great donation which will go a long way in feeding these vulnerable homes.

One intriguing fact about Ruth,a young lady among the two beneficiaries is that,she is heading the household. Her parents died when her and her elder sister where really still small and the families from both parents never took good care of them. This forced the young lady to learn the art of making African Polony popularity known as ‘chikanda’ in Zambia. This enabled her to push her elder sister,yes you heard that right,an elder sister to complete her education at Highlands school in Livingstone.
